"A Cherokee Feast Of Days"
Our full attention is like a powerful camera that
focuses with such lighting and automatic
adjustments as to be more potent for accomplishment.
Inattention is sleeping on the job and the
camera produces a fuzzy image.
Stop and think ~what do you want?
To do the job right?
Or to hope you can outrun the competition?
Yes, many are running, but only on personality.
The right look, the right smile, the right lingo
may work for a time ~ and then comes the substance.
Make it real.
Make it work.
Give it your full attention.
I must give something of real value to show
that my whole being goes with the lesser gifts.

"Meditation With Our Native American Elders"
"Words hypnotize and deceive everyone at
one time or another, but these hypnotic
words cannot last long in the hearts of
true warriors."
Barney Bush, SHAWNEE

We are just a part of an interconnected system.
Words in themselves have no meaning.
It is the spirit and intent behind the words that
really show the meaning.
We are connected to each other at the center of the
atom which makes up the air and our body.
The center of the air's atom system is connected to
the center of our body's system.
I am connected to you and you are connected
to me in the center of our being.
If my words have no meaning, you can feel
this through the center of your being.
Great Spirit,
help me make my word good.
Let me do the things I say I
will, and let me say the things
I will do ~ and do it.

THE SOUTHERN
JOURNEY OF SUMMER

Green is a common color for
summer. It represents the lush
nature's forest. Summer is warm, com-
forting, and a time to relax and enjoy
the sunshine. It's a perfect opportunity
to build community ties and participate
in summer solstice events such as bon-
fires and cookouts. South is represen-
tative of living willfully, passionately,
and with love.

"THE BLONDE AND THE COW"
A blonde city girl named Amy marries a Colorado rancher.
One morning, on his way out to check on the cows, the rancher says to Amy,
'The insemination man is coming over to impregnate one of our cows today, so I drove a nail into the 2 x 4 just above where the cow's stall is in the barn. Please show him where the cow is when he gets here, OK?'
The rancher leaves for the fields. After a while, the artificial inseminator arrives and knocks on the front door.
Amy takes him down to the barn. They walk along the row of cows and when Amy sees the nail, she tells him, 'This is the one right here.'
The man, assuming he is dealing with an air head blonde, asks, 'Tell me lady, 'cause I'm dying to know; how would YOU know that this is the right cow to be bred?'
'That's simple she said, by the nail that's over its stall,' she explains very confidently.
Laughing rudely at her, the man says, 'And what, pray tell, is the nail for?'
The blonde turns to walk away and says sweetly over her shoulder,
'I guess it's to hang your pants on.'
(It's nice to see a blonde winning once in awhile. :-)
