True on the dial up deal ...but fortunately most folks interacting with us (media intensive souls) will already be on broadband or wireless. The last time i checked ... here in the states ... the stats for broadband vs dial up was something like ... 90% of all "active" internet users are now on broadband. Here's an interesting article ...

When on dial up ... even a good quality mp3 is a bit of a download ... but with that said ... you may also want to consider your own space on the Sites ... to add a link or embed a player like youtube only takes a couple bytes of your space ... a CD quality MP3 of average lenght will take up about 5MB of your space .... you have 500MB of storage for all your webpages and attachments on Sites. Note: this is only in the sites area ... figures are different for each area of the domain. So a few of these won't matter much.
So when creating your page ... you can use the upload feature ... just like you are uploading your images. Your images will automatally be linked to where you point them in the body of your web page. For other files, you can just leave them in your attachment list ... OR ... create a link in the body. Just do a Copy Shortcut on your attachment link and Paste that with your other text within the body of your web page.
What i just showed is how to do this using Sites as a stand alone tool. You can also do like Kevin suggested. Create a gadget with a MP3 Player and link your tune that way ... so it could play when your visitor arrives.
Remember, your PROmisfits package also includes all the other domains. If you know how to use FTP ... you can create your own gadgets, players, web pages and upload files in that fashion to your folder on MisfitsCafe.Com then link to those from both your blog, sites pages and emails. That is the method i prefer. For me, using all those tools is tougher, than flat out taking the time to write the raw code myself.
You can go over to w3schools.com and spend a little time learning the old HTML
basics ... then upgrade that with the current XHTML / CSS ... throw in a little JAVAscripting and PHP ... and you'll have all the foundational knowledge you need to create your own full blown web pages without any tools other than your desktop notepad, browser and an FTP client (i use windows explorer myself).
The tools are fine for one just getting started ... and would make it easier to get something up and working right away ... just as you have done already yourself. But that method also carries certain limits ... once a person takes the time to learn all the latest in coding ... there is tons more one can do.
Another thing ... if you (or any promisfit) wants to add some files / webpages to the other domains, but doesn't have (or know how to) FTP ... you can zip these items up and send to me ... takes a little more time this way ... but i will upload to the servers for you and give you back the appropiate links.
Another thing to remember is that the dot biz (g-apps) is primarily a service that provides an array of tools. Our other domains are located on seperate servers and work as hosting services without the tools. So we are kind of scattered about ... getting a little bit of everything here & there. Once we are big enough (membership wise) so i can afford the $500 to $1,000 / month for our very own dedicated servers (not counting the mailboxes) ... then we can move all of our domains onto one centalized location.
